Does anyone had an side effects from taking Blood pressure medication? Effects such as palpitations?

Question:
and feelings of weakness and fatigue

Answers:
I am permanently tired but unsure as to the cause (or causes - as is my GP) as I take 19 ppd (pills per day) and 20 on Sundays.
At least I'm still alive! (In between the long sleeps)

I don't find the medical profession too helpful with these symptoms which I have had since a heart bi-pass some 18 years ago!

At least I.m still alive (as I said earlier!)

Are you still enjoying life?
I do most of the time, and, you guessed it.

At least I'm still alive!

Good luck with your health

PS - I have tried the private sector(several times) in
desperation but all they want is ones dosh! Should have known better, but.

At least I'm still alive!
Nope, not yet, but I'll keep you posted.
Yes my mother in law has had these side effects and also a tickly cough.
yes i had this when i was on them.. had headaches too... it will pass if it doesnt then the medication may not suit you so see doctor again
i take cartia xt with no side effects,
Depends on your medication, if you are taking beta blockers I would say definitely yes. I could not stop sleeping when I took those, and yes, there are many many side effects to medication, and as each person is unique and individual, I would say you may be having an adverse side effect. Look the drug up in a google or yahoo search, and, get to your Dr, it is not good to continue with adverse side effects, it may be detrimental to another part of your health.
yes.my husband had awful side effects, and the drs had put him on the cheapest tablets at first knowing this! but it saves money!
Yes, this can be a side effect. You need to report this to your Doctor as soon as possible, but keep taking the meds until the MD can evaluate your information. The Dr will probably change the meds if this continues. Use caution when standing up from sitting or bending over as you may become light headed and pass out or fall down if your BP drops to quickly.
When I was on Norvasc, I had a cough and my ankles would swell. My doctor switched me to another medication and no problem. All medications can cause some type of reaction, so tell your doctor about this fatigue. He can suggest another medication.
my hubby takes them and always feels cold and gets tired but still better that than his blood pressure going up but if its really bad go back to docs but dont stop taking the pills
My blood pressure medicine gives me alot more energy and slows my heart rate down some from the 100-120's to down in the 80's)
You really need to specify which drugs you are on. There are probably 130 different anti-hypertensives in 16 different drug groups.
