Month to month rentals in Gainesville Fla for Cancer patients?

Im looking for affordable places to stay while I have treatment @ Shands in Gainsville Fl. I will need to be there a month and wondering if anyone knows of places to stay. Or that has had to do this and have any advise?

Answers:
Call your local cancer society. My husband is undergoing radical chemo for a week every three weeks. Our chapter helped me find an apartment across the street from the hospital for $50 a night. Not sure if they or the hospital owns it. It has been a blessing. If you don't have a local chapter call 1-800-ACS.2345. Also check out www.cancer.org.

There's a non profit organization that has put together a list of sites for each state where cancer patients can stay while undergoing treatment. Most of them offer lodging for temporary or long term stays at a reduced cost for cancer patients, but you will need to call and find out the information:
