Small, soft "mass" near arm pit...What is it?
Question:
For as long as I can remember, I've had this small, soft mass near my arm pit. It's very small---about the size of a ball from a ball-point pen. It's soft and somewhat movable, colored like flesh, and it's not uner tthe skin, it's above it, like a pimple. but it;s not. I'm worried. I'm 16 years old and scared that it's cancer. I'm terrified. But I've had it forever, I think. I feel like I can rip it off, because it's atached to my arm by the smallest amount of skin.
What I'm asking is, should I be concerned? Does anybody else have something like this? If I HAVE to go to a doctor (I really don't want to have to tell my mom) then where should I go? A dermatologist?

Sounds like its just a mole. I have one under my left arm that sounds exactly like what you've described. If it bothers you that much go see a dermatologist and have it checked out. You may be able to get it removed too. Its just one of those weird skin things.

For all u know its just a swollen gland..and usually its said if its movabale its not cancer...so pls do not fear the worst.
Best thing would be for u to visit a Doctar as they are in a better position to rightly advice u.

It sounds like tag mole. I have a few of them and have pulled them off. If you are worried you should ask your doctor. If it is a tag mole you can have it taken off or take it off yourself. I think it hurts less for them to just cut them off rather than inject you to numb the area and then cut if off. If you can't tell your mother about this then you are going to have some real problems in the future. If I were you I would find someone to ask about it. If you can get into the doctor they can tell you very easily.
My dear, to reduce your anxiety go to a doctor find out what it is. Have you not discussed this with your parents? If yes they should have taken you for a checkup. Being scared is a natural thing. I will look forward to you coming back on here and telling us the results.This is summer time and your 16, you should be hanging with your friends and not worrying about this...
go get it checked most likely its just a mole(skintag)tell your mom i am dead serious i come from a family of nurses and doctors and i knew somebody that died form breast cancer
