My bf has athlete's foot?

Question:
he has it between his big toe and it's crusty and red. he's tried over-the-counter anti-fungal cream but it doesn't seem to get better. is there something that can be prescribed? anyone have any ther ideas?

Answers:
I agree with Sprox.

Also, have him wear cotton sox all the time and powder his toes with tinactin powder or some other kind of powder that is drying after he dries his feet and before putting on the socks.

Also wear the socks after applying Tinactin at night.
Try asking the doctor...not a website...
yes. Have him see the MD.
try tinactin, and also, tell him to keep his feet dry in his shoes, and when he takes a shower to dry his feet really good, basically just keep his feet dry(the WHOLE FOOT too, so it doesnt spread)
I JUST TOOK MY SON TO THE DOC. FOR THAT
SHE TOLD HIM TO SOAK HIS FOOT IN GALLON OF WARM WATER WITH A TEASPOON OF BLEACH FOR 30 MIN.

THEN PUT LOTRIMIN IN AFFECTED AREA

HIS DONE IT FOR 4 DAYS AND ITS WORKED
Lysol spray works on me. That and trying to use it every time I have to use public showers (after drying feet good). As he's got it now, he should do it 3 times a day.
