Is it safe to go into a water park when you have a case of Ringworm?

Question:
You see, my brother has a ringworm on his thigh and we weren't sure if it is safe to let him into a water park because we weren't sure if others could catch it.

Answers:
No it's not a good thing - and many people will get it.
I'd wait until he's healed - other people contact if if he touched a raft and someone sat down and touched the part he had ring worm. Yes there is chlorine and all that but the possibility is there.
ring worm is contagious, if you have animals or he plays with them you should have them checked.

Ringworm, also known as "Tinea", is a contagious fungal infection of the skin, and can exist anywhere on the body. Contrary to its name, ringworm is not caused by a worm, but generally is a reddish to brownish raised or bumpy patch of skin that may be lighter in the center, giving the appearance of a 'ring'. get some antifungle cream
no, it is not socially responsible to risk infecting others. Wait until the lesion has faded and disappeared.
