Question:
I am extremely sensitive to a lot of body products. I don't wear makeup. I use scent free, dye free, paraben free, petroleum/mineral oil/ lanolin free, everything free products! I recently went in to an allergist and found out that I am allergic to eggs, trees, mold and ragweed. Over the last couple months I have had problems with my lips burning and I am starting by changing my chapstick. It is "all natural" without petroleum /lanolin/mineral oil. It does contain beeswax which I am beginning to think is the problem. Possibly something to do with my tree allergy. Has anyone had problems with beeswax products? If so- what is an alternative that doesn't contain any of the above products?
Answers:
Beeswax chapstick is allergic because it contains POLLEN.
Do you know if the chapstick contains any mint? That could be the cause. I know Burt's Bees does.
You can try using advocado or olive oil instead. They heal.
