I Kissed someone who has tonsilitus and they have gone into hospital?

Question:
Will i have the same problem that she has or wil it just be normal tonsilitus (my throat is already starting)

Answers:
That depends on your age? As a child, you contract "Tonsilitus" but as an adult you contract "Laryngitus". Both can be contagious but it would really depend on the virus that caused it. Many virus' are easy to pass from one person to another and others aren't. If you feel your throat is getting a little itchy, then it's likely that you have contracted the infection. The way it works is that a virus enters the mouth and the tonsils trap the virus to prevent it entering the bodies organs. The virus then attacks the tonsils and that is the cause of the infection and swelling. I wouldn't worry too much, simply due to her being admitted to hospital as you don't know her medical history and she could have had other complications such as Bronchitis, Asthma etc. and you don't, or she could be in hospital for something totally unrelated. Best thing is to start using a good cough medicine now and try sucking on a "Fisherman's Friend" lozenge. Ice cream can ease any swelling.
nooo ur throat is swelling coz u r worried you might get them lol no no I had mine taken out when I was 3,and they said it was perfum -.-
