Answers:
Sounds like you have a cold sore.

"What are cold sores?
Cold sores are small blisters around the mouth, caused by the herpes simplex virus. The most common strain of the virus is herpes simplex virus 1.

Herpes simplex is not curable, but may lie dormant for long periods of time. Episodes of the cold sores last no longer than two weeks. Hot sun, cold wind, a cold, or a depressed immune system can cause an outbreak of herpes simplex virus.

What are the symptoms of cold sores?
Some people never experience any symptoms with the first attack; others have severe flu-like symptoms and ulcers in and around the mouth. The following are the most common symptoms of cold sores. However, each individual may experience symptoms differently. Symptoms may include:

tingling of the lips
small blisters on the lips and mouth that enlarge, burst, then crust over
itching and irritation of the lips and mouth
soreness of the lips and mouth

The symptoms of cold sores may resemble other skin conditions. Always consult your physician for a diagnosis."
Herpes is not really scary...at least not the kind on the lip...another word for herpes (on the mouth) would be a canker sore. I've heard you can also get a canker sore for drinking too much OJ or getting too much Vitamin C. Best way to treat it is to go to the grocery store, Target or Walmart and get something called Carmex. It's like lip gloss, but it will kill the bacteria causing the canker sore.

Also, just FYI, once you get the bacteria, it pretty much stays with you forever. You can get an outbreak at anytime, so you may have gotten it a long time ago. Just be kind, and don't kiss anyone else when a bump is visible.

Hope this helps.
It could be herpes type 1. Give it a chance to heal and go away. But if it keeps coming back, then it's probably herpes. Eight out of ten people have type 1. One out of four have type 2 (genital).
