My belly button has a problem! help?!?

Question:
ok my belly button was dirty so i was cleaning it out with a tooth pick and then the next day it was alittle red and had gooey whitesh stuff around it. Also it hurts alittle. And i also know im not suppose to use a toothpick. but does anyone know how to make it better? or to clean it out? is this a diease?

Answers:
The white gooey stuff sounds like discharge. I would recommend seeing the doctor for further evaluation to see what they think is going on.

As for cleaning the belly button you can try a Q-tip with plain water or even using some hydrogen peroxide to clean the area. Also, soap and water is good for cleaning the belly button. The soap I was told to use after my last surgery was antibacterial soap like Dial.
its an infection, use peroxide
the white stuff sounds like puss, u might have cut the inside of it and it got infected. u should take a q tip with peroxide and wipe the inside and around with it.

good luck <3
