I have moderate scoliosis, and almost constant back pain. Is there something that helps?

Question:
Are there excerises or special treatments to help my back. I am 19 and I do not think that taking pain medication everyday for the rest of my life is healthy.

Answers:
I've been doing scoliosis exercises as far back as I can remember...so, hope these little ones can help you!
Lie on the floor...flatten your back out as flat as you can onto the floor, (legs up at knees)....try to get your hand under the small of your back.....keep trying until you cannot get your hand under your back without really pushing hard. Try this against a wall in your home, standing up! These are just two simple to do ons that can really help.
get someone to apply some essential oil of Clary Sage to your back.
Long term Rx's are not healthy for your age (or for anyone, really.) I have scoliosis in my lower back, and getting treatments from my chiropractor has done the Most good all this time. Also, he or she can show you some stretches you can do at home to help.

I just got surgery for my scoliosis. I had severe scoliosis and I was in constant pain too. Theres not much you can do about it. I eventually just learned to live with it. Just try to keep yourself busy and have fun! good luck!
Do you have a back brace? The only thing that can be done is surgery.
