I have had my perspiration glands removed from under my arm.?

Question:
I now do not perspire under my arm in hot weather. Will this cause any harm to me?

Answers:
No, the other sweat glans in the body will take over the job of the missing ones.
Dont you think you should have asked this question BEFORE surgery?
Definitely agree with Steph, regardless of what anyways says or suggests its already done and over with so it really wont matter...
people normally perspire from all sweat glands on their body - not just under the arms. if your body needs to coll itself down/regulate it's own temperature by means of perspiring, you will still perspire - just not under the arms.

many females in japan who are half asian/half caucasian have the same surgery. japanese females tend to perspire much less than caucasian females. the half japanese/half caucasian females have this surgery to eliminate the embarassment of profuse perpiration under the arms. (yes - to them it is embarassing)
You will now sweat more everywhere else.
I agree with the first two answers

The glands are no longer there so it's not like they will get infected from not sweating, although you will probably find that all your other sweat glands have to work twice as heard to cool you down so you will become generally much sweatier

You sound like you are a bit surpised that you are no longer sweating from under your arms!
No shouldn't do! I seem to be in a similar process to you, I am going for botox injects under my arms in a few weeks, did you try that?
