Question:

Answers:
No, they are not terribly painful.

Yes, they are helpful in identifying allergies.
if they were pointless they wouldnt do it. its not a fun experience, but it works.
No they dont hurt. They itch a lot though and you have to lay there and wait for them to come back while its itching. Theyre not pointless. Ive been doing shots for about 2 years and the shots barely even sting and it helps a lot! I recommend it!
No it doesn't hurt I've had them done. You can't even feel hardly when they put those needle like things in your back.
They don't hurt really bad. I've had it done. They take a grid with little points that have been dipped in allergens, then press it into your arm really hard. It's a little uncomfortable, but it doesn't break the skin. It is not pointless. Sometimes, however, they can't confirm some results that way, so they'll draw blood and do a blood test.
Yes, they are very painful, but the pain does not last long. It is helpful to know what is causing your allergies to know what to avoid, and to know when it's just allergies and when you're actually sick.
I have had the tests done and I don't think they hurt really bad and I have a pretty low tolerance for pain. You will feel like a pin cushion when you are done and if it is needed you will need a shot every week for a while and it slowly spreads out over a 3 to 5 year span. The success rate is supposedly about 90 to 95%. I have noticed a small differnce since I started a year ago, but I am still using medication to ward off some symptoms.
Allergy tests are not that painful for most people. You barely have to break the skin to introduce the allergen. The subsequent shots to reduce your bodies reaction sometimes do a world of good, others have little effect. My son has a life threatenening insect allergy, and since taking allergy shots has been stung multiple times without needing hospitalization. My daughter however had shots for years with little or no relief for her furry mammal allergies.
they are not that bad and the info you get from them can be really helpful the things you think you would not be allergic to then find out you are really helps in life with the feeling awful part and not knowing why.
All those shots to test you for allergies are more irritating than painful. They are worth it. I had the tests, then took the shots for 3 years. They got rid of most of my allergies. My quality of life tripled after those 3 years. I highly recommend them.
