i am getting another ultrasound today, but my last one at the start of may told me one was 11mm x 3mm is that a normal size (1.1cm) .
Thanks any advice or real stories wwould be appricated.

Answers:
Normally, it's un-palpable and un-seen. But, underskin and fat, it's actual size is about 1 cm x 2 - 3 mm x 5 mm (length x height x wide).
I really don't know if your lymph enlarge normal or pathologic. It depends on many thing, like : can it move, is it tender, is there any evidence of weight loss, prolong cough (more than 2 weeks), etc. As lymph enlarge represent many normal and abnormal status. It can be simply viral, cancer, TB, etc.
If you had it for 10 month and didn't grow, most likely you had TB lymph node enlargement.
Well, can't be so sure without other information.

USG & biopsy might be needed.
If it is just side of common cold / viral, then nothing to worry about.
TB lymphadenopathy : your doctor will remove it, and you have to take some TB drugs for 6 - 12 month.
If it is cancer, your doctor will remove it, and give you cancer drugs and chemotheraphy.

Don't worry now. Pray.
Hope it's nothing. Best wishes for you.
I've had several occations of enlarged lymph nodes and sometimes they do take a long time to go back to normal size. I had an enlarged inguinal lymph node that was to to an animal scratch on my leg. It was very painful, but eventually went away. Also ones in the neck can be due to all types of reasons including the common cold. I would only become too concerned if you had swollen lymph nodes all over your body...neck, armpits, and inguinal are a few sites that can be easily felt if swollen. It sounds like you're taking the right steps by getting an ultrasound done.
I hope it turns out alright. If it's something bad, there are great treatments out there. Never give up hope. And, hopefully, it isn't anything bad. There are many things that make lymph nodes swell. Hang in there.
