STD or infection?

Question:
About 2 weeks ago I used one of those Vagisil Screening Kits which tests for,Yeast Infection,Bacterial Vaginosis,Trichomoniasis. It showed up as trichomoniasis for me,however,I haven't been sexually active,in sexual contact, been in contact with needles or drugs,OR even in kissed someone in 3 years.I do have bit of a fishy odor and a little bit of an itch, but my discharge is clear or white, but never grey, yellow,or green. Most of the odor is usually in the morning as well as my itchiness and the itchiness isn’t to the extreme. Also,I had a papsmear less than 5 months ago and everything was ok.In other details,I haven’t had a period in 3 years due to my severe eating disorder,I sometimes wipe back to front,I shave down there,I’ve never encountered to having an STD,just infections I have been treated for a yeast infection and bacterial infection before.I’m just a bit concerned since it said I had trichomoniasis. In your opinion,or if you’ve ever dealt with my situation, what would my case be?

Answers:
As far as I know you can't get an STD without being sexually active, however you can get it from foreplay. Perhaps the test was wrong and was telling you you have something else. Best thing to do is let your doctor figure it out.
i have never had that problem... but i can make a suggestion. u need to eat right to get the vitamins u need. that might be the reason u are going through this. stop with the eating disorder, b/c if u don't, this will be the least of your problems. but as far as the infections, try eating a lot of yogurt, it has live cultures which are supposed to be good for you and down there as well. I've even heard of women putting it in there underwear. never tried it, but i have heard that it works. hope u figure out what to do about it... good luck.
Well, I would for sure keep my appt. with the MD. Sometimes infections don't show up right away. I ended up finding out that I had an infection a year after I had sex with someone. Also, I know there are certain STD's that don't show up right away. Take herpes for instance a person could be a carrier but never show any signs of the STD but pass it on the other people that they are sleeping around with. I would for sure get it checked out. Wiping back to front most of the time will give you a UTI so you really need to get out of the habit of doing that number. Some of the itching could be due to the fact that you shave down there. Alot of people also have some discharge when ovualating. With the ordor not everyone is perfume fresh 24/7. But to be on the safe side I would get it checked out by my doctor. Don't continue to put things off because I am not saying that it is but if it is an infection you do want to catch it as soon as possible for treatment to begin. You are doing the right thing by getting checked out by an MD. Good luck with everything.
Yeast infections can be caused from bubble bathes, douches, soaps, any thing containing a perfume in it. Wearing wet or tight clothing for along period of time, even some antibiotics. I can only use one brand of bathe soap because all the others give me an yeast infection. Use an over the counter creme like Monistat, they do work. You can also get a pill from your doctor to treat it.
trichomoniasis is sexually transmitted disease if you have not had sex with anyone in the last 3 years and previous pap smear was negative than you have an yeast infestion or bladder infection hope everything ok
