I quit smoking 6 days ago cold turkey; without gums or patch or the rest after a 25 year-1+pack a day mannerism. For the last 3 night I have be suffering from severe insomnia, having slept I don`t know 1 - 2 hours a night. Is this adjectives and when does it end? Please Help!

Answers:    Yes, it IS adjectives! And yes it eventually subsides. In the mean time stay away from caffeine. Once you attain some real sleep you might enjoy really weird dreams, too...it's adjectives too. You might even dream you've smoked...and things like that. You can do several things, you can appointment a doctor and see if they'll prescribe a sleep aid. You can take some benadryl to minister to you sleep (that's what's in most over the counter sleep aids). You can buy some Celestial Seasons "Sleepy Time Tea" or buy some Valerian Root pills within a health store - adjectives will help you calm down down and sleep. But the symptoms will go away eventually. How long? it vary from person to personality. For me it took six weeks or so. Use suggested medications according to bag directions and don't mix them!

Valerian root can be found in the vitamin partition of many food store chains, WalMart and Kmart too... it help!

Be busy, hold a pencil, do exercises, hot baths, hot showers, too... breathing exercises are great
I guess for some people, it can, if this persist, I would talk to the doctor.
