Are there any other cancer 'curing' methods?

Question:
I thought i saw a science magazine on other methods to cure cancer. I'm not too sure what magazine it is, I just want to know if there are any other methods besides radiation treatments.

Answers:
There isn't any known cure for cancer.

Cancer is an umbrella term for over 200 different types of disease that can affect any race, sex, or age group. Cancer is a progressive disease which means it can start out tiny and treatable and progress until it multiplies and spreads and becomes difficult to treat. There are certain treatments for certain types of cancer that can lead to remission and for all intents . .cure for an individual.

Consider this . . a 50 year old patient has a stage 1 skin cancer and goes to a doctor who will remove the lesion. That patient is now in remission and probably 'cured' because the disease was small enough to remove.

Compare the above to a 12 year old child who has stage IV osteosarcoma with metastatic disease in the bone, liver, and brain. Cancer than becomes far more complicated to treat.

So, treatment for cancer is dependent on the type of cancer, the location of the tumors, the stage (progression) of the disease, the grade (how abnormal a cell looks) of the tumor, plus the age of the patient, the patients overall health, and the patients response to treatment.

Once that is all sorted out a particular type of cancer is treated by a 'protocol' which is a medical guideline followed for the type, grade, and stage of the cancer.

In general the protocols (based on stage, grade, and type of disease) will treat a cancer by:
Surgery
Chemotherapy
Radiation

Each of the above modaliaties also offer subgroups of treatment (chemoperfusion, gamma knife, radiofrequency ablation) and be combined or used as single modalities depending on the disease.

Treatment for cancer can be complicated by the advanced stage of the disease . . or simple by the fact that is early stage disease. As you can see the earlier you are diagnosed with cancer the easier and more chance you will have that it can be treated and 'cured' individually.
other than radiation, chemo and surgery which can lead to remission of certain types of cancer and thus what are considered in the medical communities cures, the patients attitude towards their cancer is the best non traditional method out there. there are even studies out there showing that patients have a stronger immune response and shorter time of healing when they have a positive outlook on their disease and current health state.
I think the FDA and FTC are hiding cures, they are afraid they won't make profits. They just want to sell fake drugs that apparently don't work and hide the real drugs so real people suffer daily.

I think you were reading Kevin Trudeau's book, "natural cures they dont want you to know about"..it was a book you were reading, not a magazine. Do some google search, buy his books and be surprised at the truth.
