When do you know if a sunburn will blister?

Question:
Yesterday at the beach I got a really bad sunburn and today it has a bit of a purple tint to it. There are no signes of blistering yet, but is purple skin the sign of blisters to come and if so, is there any way that I could stop my skin from blistering? I have already done the ice packs, aloe vera, and I took Ibuprofen, is there anything else I can do?

Answers:
Try soaking some tea bags on it (Wet and cool) at the four hour mark of taking motrin add asprin
and it takes about 3-5 days to blister over - keep it hydrated with the aloe and add some moisturizing cream - (no mineral oil to it)
umm not really try coco after sun and things that help like that really. wwhere is it?
shoulders is my worst burning place!
Dab vinegar all over the sun burn (don't rub it, just dab it, a cotton ball works well). The vinegar will prevent burning.
