Answers:
Psoriasis is an inflammatory disease that manifests most commonly as well-circumscribed, erythematous papules and plaques covered with silvery scales. Cause is unknown, but common triggers include trauma, infection, and certain drugs. Symptoms are usually minimal with occasional mild itching, but cosmetic implications may be major. Some people develop severe disease with painful arthritis. Diagnosis is based on appearance and distribution of lesions. Treatment is with emollients, vitamin D analogues, retinoids, tar, anthralin, corticosteroids, phototherapy, and when severe, methotrexate, retinoids, biologics, or immunosuppressants.

Treatment
Currently, there is no cure for psoriasis. However, there are many treatment options that can clear psoriasis for a period of time. Each treatment has advantages and disadvantages, and what works for one patient may not be effective for another. Board-certified dermatologists have the medical training and experience needed to determine the most appropriate treatments for each patient.
Types of Treatment
Psoriasis treatments fall into 3 categories:
Topical (applied to the skin) – Mild to moderate psoriasis
Phototherapy (light, usually ultraviolet, applied to the skin) – Moderate to severe psoriasis
Systemic (taken orally or by injection or infusion) – Moderate, severe or disabling psoriasis
While each of these therapies is effective, there are also drawbacks.
Some topicals are messy and may stain clothing and skin. Phototherapy can require 2 to 5 weekly visits to a dermatologist’s office or psoriasis clinic for several weeks. Many of the systemic medications have serious side effects and must be combined or rotated with other therapies to maximize effectiveness and minimize side effects. Research is being conducted to find therapies that provide safe, effective, easy-to-use treatment options that provide long-term relief.
I also have this condition. My doctor (in Ireland) has given me a cream called "Dovobet", active ingredient, betamethasone (as dipropionate). Though it hasn't cleared up completely yet, it's getting better.
U.V. rays, i.e. sunshine, are said to be beneficial. In India you can easily get more of this than I can here.
Homoeopathy is the best. You can consult any local homoeopath. Or visit www.drbatras.com for online consultation.
I have undergone the suffering and also treatment at the hand of Skin Specialist, Self Medication from Homeopathy and then Ayurvdic Treatment at Nathdwara in Rajasthan and also Prayed to Lord Shreenathji. The whole thing lasted for a period of six months. At times wearing Pyjamas was excrutuiating. Could not walk properly. Had to hide the ugly scars. Sometimes Powdery skin wherever you rub. Oh it was a nightmare. Family Physician first said it is Rosacea? When no improvement consultation with Dermatologist provide me with avil 25 and some creams. Applying the cream was like touching fire. Then I was in Mumbai near Borivali an area known as LIC(Jeevan Bima) colony. There is an Hospital on the main road, and oposite there was an Homeo Shop. They had advertised several SWISS medicines for various problems. It must be availble in any good Homeo Pharmacy. A 50 ML Bottle contains some liquid, I dont remember the name, transparent something like sanderma connected with skin and psoriasis. Pl try as per instruction 5 drops in water morning and evening. or may be 3 times. in about 15 days the bottle should empty. and pray to lord Shrinathji because that is where I got my relief. Actually I went to an Govt authorised Ayurvedic centre, the vaid had closed for lunch, but upon my request he asked what the problem was. When I showed the severe patches (they burn even during winter)all over my body he said it is Kusta rog. Offered some precrpition and asked me to take them from local market. Some tailam and bitter powder. I have misplaced the prescription. Still I am searching and hopeful I will locate. Now it is for you to decide which one cured. But I am happy and well now more than 8 to 10 years hav passed. I am diabetic too. Many suggest diabetes could also cause these skin problems. So try this Homeopathy first, and pray to Lord Shreenathji, you will get relief hopefully. You can have darsan daily at 7.15 AM on sanskar tv or sometimes at 3.40 PM. But if you want relief offer 7 coconuts at Nathdwara because that is what I did when I suffered. Homeo+ Ayurveda+ Prayer got me through. But allopathy used for relief like avil. You may try all or any remedy. Be luck with you. Yours Ashok
