they are big and red, and about the size of a quarter. they look like huge whitehead zits but there is no puss or actual white head there. i have gotten a few in my pubic area, under armpit, temple, and inner thigh.
what is it exactly, what causes it, and how can i stop it?

It has happened to me and my brother before. You are most likely allergic to the shampoo or body wash you are using. If you recently changed either of these, you may want to switch back. Thats what was wrong with me and my brother.
