14 karat gold and low iron...?

Question:
My neighbor asked me for one of my gold rings and proceded to slide it down my cheek. It left a black line. She said it meant I was low on iron. Just wondering if this is true; and if so, what is the theory behind the gold leaving a black line. Thanks!

Answers:
OMG, the #1 reason for this black mark is pregnancy. You must be pregnant now !
I copied and pasted the link below:

jewelers often hear this complaint. They call it "the mystery of the gold smudge". Under normal conditions gold won't tarnish or corrode, but there are generations of stories about "not being able to wear gold." Research into the "gold smudge" has five basic reasons why gold can sometimes leave a black mark or a rash.
1. Sometimes skin secretion and perspiration contain chemicals which react with the molecules of other metals in the gold alloy. This can happen when changes occur in body chemistry for example, during pregnancy.

2. Outside chemical influences, such as medications, cosmetics, hairsprays and perfumes may sometimes be to blame for the "smudge." Always allow these products to dry before putting on your jewelery. Some shampoos, for example, those produced specifically for dandruff or scalp problems may leave a residue on the skin that will continue to tarnish lower carat gold.

3. Air pollutants from industry may cause the "smudge" which can rub off onto the skin when jewelery is worn.

4. Minute particles of dust or powder may be embedded in the skin which can result in extremely small particles of gold alloy being rubbed off and left on the skin.

5. The fifth and least likely cause may be an allergy to gold or one of the other metals in the alloy, such as an allergy to nickel which is commonly used in fashion jewelery, some white golds and some modern hard gold-plating methods.
ive heard of this but i dont have the answer. good luck :)
If your low on anything i would take amino acids 1500. This is a pill that will brake down vitamens and your foods and tell them where to go in your body. It rebuild muscle tissue and does a dozen different things. Their for bodybuilders but anybody can use them. It will renurish your body. Take many multi vitamens. This is all i now i am not a doctor just a wanna be bodybuilder. I tell every body to take these.
Gold is highly non-reactive metal. So probably the other metals in the alloy gold might react.

I am not having any other knowledge as P S states in his reply.

But remember GOLD is highly non-reactive when alone.
