Menieres syndrome?
Question:
Answers:
i have bouts of menieres.
it's not pleasent, the room spins, i feel sick & my left ear buzzs like crazy.
i'll take serc, if i have to, to control the sickness & dizzy spells, but most of the time, i refuse to give in.
make myself work, make myself do everything i need or have to do.
as no-one's gonna do it for me.
it's a bit like mind over matter, i get cross with myself if i have to give in & wait out a bout, it usually eases in a week.
i've had it for 12 years now, so i'm quite versed at bulling it into submission, rather than giving in & letting it take over.
they used to last weeks, in the first couple of years.
which were the worse, but i decided it was ruining/running my life, so it had to stay in the background & let me get on.
it's a knack you learn in time.
if you have it, hang-on in there, don't ever give up & in time you'll just learn to cope.
good luck & take care.
remember to always live your life.
:)
some doc's know this,,,
it's to do with debris in those 3 channels that control balance
the doc will have you lie down then he will rotate your head slowly round and up and down etc until the stuff moves to a different part, you are then ok til it moves back again
My Mum suffers from this and has very bad bouts. She describes it as having the worst hangover ever, but 10 times worse. She cannot often walk and needs 24 hour support when she is really bad. She even looses her sense of taste and smell, (which isn't bad if you have ever tasted my cooking, lol). She often gets a lot better after 3 weeks, but some symptoms can last for much much longer.
