Do nuns masterbate?

Question:
i was watchin sex and the city and there was a nun and sam had breast cancer and she was sittin in the docs and she was told befor that if you donthave children you chance of getting beasts cancer gets higher and theer was a nun sittin beside her and she asked the nun is she had kids and thenun said no im a nun i cant have sex and then she asked the nun is she masterbates and the nun said she didnt know if she was allowed to? and i wanna know if they can..

Answers:
they are technically NOT supposed to.. priests are not allowed to either. masturbation isnt 'clean', its the whole anti-self gratification celibacy thing. but i'm sure there are some that do, they are human, not perfect.

they are considered 'married to the church' and therefore must refrain from engaging in ANY sexual activity.
Nuns have needs.
Does a bear crap in the woods?
No, they are against recreation, remember?
I dont see why they cant.
yeah, with a crucifix
lol i would assume so
I never heard of a rule that says that can't.
i guess so its not going against the rules i guess
no they dont
Priests are allowed to have relations with nuns as long as they don't get in the habit.
no i dont think that they are allowed to
i think they do...dont really wanna picture that but i dont think they could get by... being a nun and all... without a lil self nooky here and there
nope thats why there is always to nuns together...one nun to make sure the other nun dont get nun..lol
On paper, they, like priests, are not supposed to. In reality? Who would be foolish, and hypocritical enough to put such a thing on paper!?
well, idk for sure.i thought no, but if no one sees them, like they are somewhere private, i guess they could and no one would ever know...but i really don't know for sure...
Most nuns are lesbos or molesters or get it on with priest or parishoners or choirboys this I know!!
It has never crossed my mind to ask a nun. they are only human after all. If they don't feel guilty about it then i am sure they must.
Pretty sure that masturbation is considered a sin, as far as I know that would be considered to be defiling their bodies.
However, whatever happens behind closed doors is between them and God, and not really any ones business. Just like with the rest of us. I don't want to know your bedroom secrets, and I sure as heck am not gonna tell you mine.
In most religions, masturbation is viewed as a sin. I'm Muslim myself and I wonder about this. Living religiously is a lifestyle, yes, but it's a lifestyle that is to be perfected. It's idealic. BUT people are not perfect therefore they will masturbate. It's completely normal and something that the body actually needs when actual sex is not possible. For a nun or priest or anyone religious that is not actively having sex to say they do not masturbate is lying. Or to evade an answer by simply saying "It's not allowed" or "it's immoral to me".

And they're lying due to the fact they are told it's wrong therefore will not openly admit it. I mean, what kind of example would that be, right? But what kind of example is it to lie? In conclusion, I often wonder if the forbidding of masturbation is a human thing and not a "God" thing. If God created us then he knows how our bodies work and also knows our bodies need it when we cannot have sex.
they have to release sexual tension somehow...
