Sometimes, my cousin has a serious cramp throbbing in one of her lungs. The doctor did some x-rays and such, but they can't find anything wrong near her. She never smokes. In fact, she's Mormon so no alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea or other venomous drugs. She's pretty health, have 3 beautiful kids, stay-at-home mom. She does voice the pain get better over time, so it's hard to vote what's wrong. She describes the pain as a cramp. Says it's the worst hunch she's ever had within her life and it make breathing extremely difficult. Are these symptoms consistent with Tietze's Syndrome aka Costochondritis? What within the world could she have? Remember! Her doctor doesn't know what it is.
Answers: If the attacks end only a few minutes, nearby are two likely cause:
a) anxiety attacks or,
b) one lung gets overinflated, cause the other to feel "locked" sometimes cause pain, and repeatedly a feeling of suffocating, which sometimes also lead to an anxiety attack.
Both of the above are normal, though anxiety attacks can be treated near medication if they are interfearing with your cousins enthusiasm.
Before making any assumptions though I recommend your cousin sees a lung specialist, or at the greatly least a different doctor to take a second opinion.
