Is it possible that I have been having absence seizure all this time?

I'm only asking this because my mother would always complain about me not doing something that she asked me to do and I would be a bit confused. She then would say that while she was talking to me and asking me for an example, to get something... I would stare at her. Then 5 minutes later she would bring it up and I would have no idea what she was talking about. This happens all the time. Also, when I was a bagger at Ralphs, this lady started screaming at me (rude customers...) that she asked for paper and I looked STRAIGHT at her when she asked me so I MUST have heard her. I couldn't recall ever doing this and I know that she didn't ask for paper.

Yes you can have absence seizures which are also known as petit mal seizures. You can have hundreds a day or just a few. That could be petit mal seizures. Or self-distractability, with you thinking your own thoughts to the exclusion of real-world input.

Only way to know is to get tested. Make a doctor's appointment.

Tell your mom about your concern and make an appointment with a neurologist.

It sounds like some kind of neurological disorder.

See a neurologist, but definitely sounds like absence seizures. I have them too.
