CHANTIX...does it work?

Question:
Has anyone been successful after the intial 3 months or did you need to stay on it longer. I am beginning my perscription tomorrow. Any advice?

Answers:
You must have a "quit date" then you start taking Chantix 7 days before your "quit date". You can keep smoking during this time and try to stop smoking on your "quit date.

You must take Chantix after eating and with a full glass (8 ounces) of water.

You can find more information about How to Take Chantix to the following link:

I myself have not tried the medicine, but I have friends who have. They say it works. Make sure you eat before you take it, or it could upset your stomach at first. From what I've heard, the medicine at first helps you cut back, but then before you know it, you're not even thinking about smoking. Good luck to you.
Chantix is an excellent way to quit smoking with few side effects. For more Chantix information, click the following link: http://www.121doc.com/champix.html?a_aid...
YES! I stopped smoking after the 5th dose, and only stayed on it for 30 days. That was April 6th, and I still have no desire to smoke.
Apparently it works great. My fiancee' smoked for 40+ years and he took this stuff and he now has been smoke-free for a month. I am getting ready to see my doctor to get a prescription for it myself. If your insurance doesn't pay for it, it is very expensive though. Still cheaper for the prescription than to keep smoking though.
