Do i have rabies?
Question:
Answers:
I think theres a very low chance of being infected with rabies, yet still we need to do precautions such as giving patients anti-tetanus shots (esp if theres a major break in the skin/wound) and 2nd is usually to observe the animal for about 10-14 days. If the animal is a stray cat/dog or from the wild, i suggest you go see a doctor so he could give you anti rabies shots since you wont be able to observe behavioral changes occuring from that particular animal. If indeed the animal acts strange (becomes mor aggressive), you need to kill it and bring its head to CDC or local health authority to check if indeed its rabies... hope this answers some of your rabies concerns...
Aside from rabies, you also need to observe the site/lesion. You could develop some benign, self-limiting condition known as Cat scratch disease. Be on the look out for developement of papules and redness over the site of inoculation/scratch/bite... this could then lead the lymphadenitis...

The answer is no, if you do this is what the doctor will tell you. It did not break the skin, there would be no way for the rabies virus to infect you since it did not get into your tissues. So relax.
If you feel like you need to be seen then go its your health not any one else.
