Cancer does not pick and choose who it gets based on their looks, personality or whatever. Why did it choose to take my husband away? No one deserves to have any kind of cancer.

Why does cancer affect anyone at all, child or adult? It is just one of those things. Life isn't just the good bits, it is the bad bits too, but the bad bits are still equally as valid a part of life. We just have to accept it.

Cancer is not a natural selection disease to make the world uglier or something like that.

My Cousin is only 16 and he Had cancer and had to go for chemo and radio therpy he lost all his hair he didnt think he was beautiful but i assured him he was. His hair grow back but it kept coming out and still i told him he was a cutie. It went and all his hair come back but sadly his got it again but i will always be their for him and tell him his beautiful. Everytime he says he isnt i tell him to think of leukaemic kids and how their beautiful. It always puts a smile on his face x
Same with my mum before she died of cancer she lost all her hair it kept coming out in the end it grow back but she liked it without so shaved it off. She wouldnt have a wig and kept saying that if leukaemic children didnt have a wig then why should she. She did runs for leukameic kids and raised over £2000 for them.
Cancer doesnt effect just children though it can affect anyone young and old and at the end of the day everyone is beautiful in their own special way x

Cancer is indescriminate and attacks all children. You don't think it's going to say 'aww, that kid is cute so i will leave it and find an ugly one' do you?. These kind of illnesses affect all kids, all backgrounds and cute and not so cute. There are no hard fast rules.
So cancer is supposed to affect only homely children? How unkind is THAT kind of thinking?? The fact that cancer strikes ANY child is horribly tragic and sad. I love children and I'd gladly take the cancer upon myself if it would mean a child would be spared. It breaks my heart to see any child be stricken with this horrible disease. I don't understand the reasons why it can't happen to horrible people who hurt others and has to happen to innocent children instead. Still, it is what it is, sad as it is. I will tell you this though: children have a far greater capacity to endure such a horrible disease with grace, strength of character and without complaint than we adults do. I think we should all do what we can to support research hospitals such as St. Jude's and others when we have the means, because these hospitals exist to not only help these children, but to try to find a cure so that NO child should have to suffer from this disease.

Did you ever notice that a child who goes though things that no child should ever have to , on a whole have a more excepting , compassionate demeanor then a healthy child that maybe stubbed it's toe. It a inner strength and beauty that you see.
