How can ulcers in the mouth be cured?

Question:
My husband has ulcers in his mouth after radiotherapy and is unable to eat or drink anything without pain. Is there anythinghe can do to heal these ulcers please help if you are able.

Answers:
my mum had the same problem after radiotheraphy and then in intensive care, she couldnt tolerate mouthwash to treat the ulcers but she was prescribed a mouthwash which numbed her mouth and then a different one to treat the ulcers. i cant remember the name of them but its a common problem with cancer treatments so his consultant should be able to prescribe something for him. its is a truly horrible thing, i know my mum had very little appetite and when she tried to eat anything she was in absolute agony. ill ask her later on what the name of the mouthwash was and post it to you.
Yes, there is in Ayuveda. Pls write details to us
Poor man.
Think he should see his doctor. Mayme just sucking ice would help with the pain.
Good luck to him, i wish him well.
Drink salt water every night and they should go down.
I'll tell you what the doctor told me when my son had them. "I can give you something that will cure them in 7 days, or you can leave them and they'll go in a week". And they did.
Wash your mouth out with salt water and then apply a small amount of baking soda.
The brine from the salt cleans and then the acid from the baking soda starts to heal. Will only have them about three days.
he can get a special gel (otm) that works to coat ulcers and so the pain is less ( like solcoceryl gel ). the only way to be sure is to talk to his physician and ask for advice, another way is to see a dentist.
he can gargle with saline water.
There are gels that help mouth ulcers such as Bonjella (and Boots do their own make gel called Sore Mouth Gel which is also quite good). Also he could try using Corsdyl mouthwash which is also good for mouth ulcers and might help.

He should go to his GP for advice. His GP might be able to prescribe something stronger for him.

I hope he feels better soon.
Take vitamin B, use kenalog in orabase before go to bed.
Leave an ice cube on the ulcer until it sticks then pull it off.
Cap full of 3% peroxide swooshed around in the mouth for 10 minutes every night. This will not only get rid of the canker sores, but will whitten his teeth. For instant relief put salt directly on the canker sore. This will burn like you know what for a little while, but he will feel better in a few minutes so he can eat without pain.
There are perscribed drugs for this but I find washing wit salt water the best
BI-CARBONATE OF SODA IS A GOOD HOME REMEDY
gargle with salt water-don't drink it! spit it out after wards. There are medications for for them too-ask doctor or pharmacist-maybe something OTC you can get. I also used the baby stuff for tooth ache or teething babies ambasol or something similar, to relieve pain-if any, again don't swallow, just apply and let stand/sit on the sores for a few minutes, this works for cancor sores too. Good luck. Tash
