You can't use a product for a week and decide that it doesn't work just because your acne doesnt go away soon there after. You said you had gotten back from the Bahamas, and that your nose was peeling .. therefore that is telling me that you did some major tanning without any sunscreen. A certain amount of sun can help your acne, by drying it up, but overdit and your acne can come back worse than it ever has! Switching products so quickly doesn't help either... you didn't even let your skin get used to Proactive, before tossing it and getting a new cleaning system. I cannot guarentee that your acne will be gone in 18 days, but if you follow these steps it will be greatly diminished and maybe all the way gone.
The first step is DON'T PANIC!
- Take 50mg of Zinc Daily, A Woman's Daily Vitamin once a day, and a Hair Skin and Nail Vitamin.
- Drink 8 glasses of water daily, or as close to it as you can.
- Find the cleaning system you want to use and stick to it, using it once in the morning when you wake up and once at night before you go to bed.
- Find a facial mask that is made by the same makers of your cleansing system and use it 2-3 times a week, since you say your acne is really bad I would reccomend 3.
- Since most mask will dry out your face make sure you get a good facial moisterizer... I use Aveeno, because it is gentle and doesnt have a strong perfumey scent.
- Try to hold off on how much product you use in your hair (hairspray, and gels), they can build up and cause oils to produce more quickly on your skin.
- Make sure you shower daily.
Do this every day, and you will be suprised at how much better your skin will look.
If you have small scars left over from the acne, take some Vitamin E oil daily, and rub some on it day and night for a half an hour, then wash your face.
I use Proactive and it took 6-8 months to get the results I wanted, it was worth the wait though, and I hardly ever break out anymore.
Well, apprently proactive is causing some of the problem. It's too rough for your skin or something. Switch to a new brand and try it.
idk... i would say eat well, and wash your face a lot. and you can also use medicine to treat it and stuff.
Try washing your face with warm water, a clean wash cloth, and dove bar soap three times a day. Make sure you use a clean towel to pat your face dry.
If the soap dries your face out then I recommend you purchase a good face lotion with sunscreen in it.
It really helped my acne immensely and it was inexpensive.
go to the nearest drugstore and buy Nuetrogena three step clearing system now! start using it immediately its a facewash, day lotion, and overnight treatment...it works right away i saw results in like two days! just go buy it immediately and try to lay off the make up for a few days..make sure to use it every morning and night..they sell it at wal-mart, walagreens, target, or CVS for like $20...good luck!
All of those products may be too harsh for your skin. I know proactive has oil in some of it's products and made my skin worse--not to mention it totally bleached my pillowcases and sheets even though I waited until my face was dry like it said. I can only use cetaphil cleansers. You should try keeping your hair up off of your face as much as possible. Wash your face 3 times a day--moring, afternoon, and night using a wash cloth to remove dead skin cells. A dermatologist can prescribe antibiotics and lotions for you, but other than taking the oral antibiotics I've had limited success. Sometimes swimming in a pool can help clear up my acne. Either the sun or the chlorine or something. Also, you may want to use only oil free makeups like Clinique or Bare Minerals. Good luck!
