How can a thought give me goosebumps?

Question:
Cardboard of any sort gives me goosebumps, it really makes my skin crawl. How come even the thought of cardboard does this? It's very unpleasant, if it pops into my mind I get wave after wave of goosebumps. Can I fix this?

Answers:
Goosebumps are caused by sympathetic stimulation of your skin hair muscles (the erector pili muscles). Sympathetic stimulation can be caused by thoughts. It like how adrenaline puts you in a fight or flight mode. In a way, thinking of cardboard activates your sympathetic nervous system and causes you to have goosebumps. Try it out, you should also feel your pulse rise and sweat since these are all sympathetic nerve actions. :-)
You may have a rare phobia of cardboard...thats possible
