I passed blood 9clean blood) in my stool about 2 weeks ago. ever since i have had greenish/yellow stool?

my doctor checked for hemmroids and didnt find any, so he said it may be polyps. i am due in for a sigmoidoscopy, but what is the deal with the weird discoloured stool? it is also loose, not like dihjarea, but loose, and, well, err, i can see stuff in it (like what i ate). it's gross, i know, sorry if i ruined ur day. thanks for the help. BTW i am a female in my early 20's
