Selsun Blue works well. They also have a denorex cream out for spot treatment which works well after several days of treatment. I noticed you said you get it where your ponytail is, are you putting your pony tail in while your hair is still wet? If so, try waiting until it is dry.

Okay, this will probably sound strange but, try Olive Oil. Yup, the kind you cook with. You can mix it in with your condition and work it into your scalp. Let it sit for a few minutes. Or you can apply it directly to your scalp. If you don't want oily hair I would suggest mixing it in with your conditioner.
Olive oil is great for your hair and skin. After a few times I am sure you will see a difference. Your hair will look great too!
