How to soothe sunburns??
Question:
Answers:
An aloe plant or aloe gel stuck in the fridge is pretty soothing. Just got over being crispy myself!
Taking a cool bath or gentle cool shower is always nice. I've heard to pat your sunburn with vinegar, despite the smell it goes away quicker than without doing anything. I use a Banana Boat lotion that has aloe in it for after tan use. It soothes the burn and helps keep the color. I burned my knees really bad so I alternated days for 4 days between a towel soaked in Witch Hazel (also used as an astringent) and Bactine. I'm really fair skinned, so I feel your pain. Good luck!
aloe-vera lotion works well, but aloe straight from the plant is best.
use aloe, you can buy it anywhere like wal-mart and cvs. it works great i use it all the time. you can buy it in a green form or a lotion type and just apply it as much as you want. make sure not to get the sticky kind. you can also make your own:
4-ounce Aloe Vera juice
20 drops lavender oil
20 drops tea tree oil
20 drops chamomile oil
To treat sunburns with aloe vera, you can add 1 or 2 cups of aloe vera juice to a tub of lukewarm water and soak. It is also useful to include Vitamin E in the water being used to treat sunburn.
another thing, it might be gross, but try putting sour cream for a few hours, it smells bad and you have to shower after but it helps
aloe vera gel
