Blood cancer is leukemia, but there are several kinds of leukemia. I think the only thing you really can say is that you will always be there for her and that she should feel free to tell you anything she needs to. Be there for her even in just letters, sometimes it is easier to talk to someone through letters or emails instead of face to face.
