What happens if you have skin cancer can you die?

Question:
Okay my friends friend has skin cancer what going to happen to her can she die

Answers:
There are different types of skin cancer, some are more life threatening than others. Cancer is a progressive disease, which means that if it is left untreated it will progress through four different stages. Stage 1 is very early cancer, can often be removed and cured. Stage 2 means is a bit bigger, maybe more than one but can still be curable. Stage 3 means the cancer has progressed and is now larger and may be invading nearby tissues. Stage 4 is advanced cancer, it is now large, many tumors, and tiny microscopic cancer cells are now in the blood stream and can lodge anywhere in the body to start new tumors.

So, you can see . . if your friends friend has a slow growing skin cancer that is Stage 1 or Stage 2 . . he may be cured by surgery. However, if he has an an aggressive melanoma that is Stage 4 .. it will be more difficult to control and treat because of the metastasis (spread of microscopic cells into blood stream).

Cancer can be treated at any stage, but it is easier to treat when small and contained in one spot.
she can but it's not very likely
yea if she dosent see a doctor & it is a extremly rare bad case.

<3 sorry about ur friend!
Yes many people die from skin cancer every year.
most skin cancers are treatable when they are found...if they have been there and spread before they are found, then they can be fatal!
I'm sure it is possible to die from skin cancer, but dont let it scare you. My grandfather has had skin cancer all my life (25 years) and he's actually in great health. He does have to go in and get things removed from time to time but other than that, it doesnt affect him.
yes she can die. With treatment, she has a real chance of getting rid of it. depends how bad it is.
If left untreated, melanoma is one of the deadliest forms of cancer. I just had a suspicious mole removed a few months ago and was told by the dermatologist that I should have annual mole checks for the rest of my life and check my own every month. Usually the mole is self-contained and the cancer hasn't spread, but sometimes it can be very hard to beat this form of cancer. It can pop up in other moles and in other places in the body.
Do some research and you'll be relieved that most of the time with early detection skin cancer can be cured.
Yes she can die.

Her odds of survival depend on a number of things

1) How early the cancer was detected.

2) If she is on the best course of treatment possible.

3) Her body's ability to respond well to treatment.

4) The help of a higher power.
Cancer (of any type) is dangerous. It is possible to die from skin cancer... but its also possible to die of the flu, chicken pox, etc. Meaning, its unlikely but not unheard of.

She needs to go to the doctor and discuss different treatment options. The best thing you can do is support her and be a friend to her in times of need!
yeah you can die from skin canncer
