Odd Dry Dark Spots?

Question:
OK, I have searched high and low and I can't find anything on the web that describes my problems so I am coming to the Y!A crew. I hope someone can help.

It all started about a month ago when an odd relatively large dark bruise appeared near my navel. I don't know where it came from, but I thought maybe I scratched or bruised it someway and didn't notice. It didn't hurt and just itched after I bathe or when my skin got dry.

About a week ago I started to notice that my skin around my stomach was more dry than normal, and itchy. That's happened before, so I didn't think much of it. Now small dark spots are popping up around my lower torso and have started to travel up the center of my chest and a couple are even on my breast... I am freaking out here. They don't hurt and, in general, don't itch unless my skin is dry. Can someone point me to the right direction of what in the world is going on with me? As you can tell by my picture, I am black if that helps. Thanks.

Answers:
I'm black too and that kinda sounds like something I have. I have some kind of fungus that grows on my chest. It's looks like dry, dark spots and it itches. My doctor told me to use Selsun Blue when i wash that area. Selsun Blue has something in it that helps get rid of the fungus. Mine went away after continous use for a few weeks. I still use it to keep it from coming back. Although what you are describing sounds similar to my symptoms you still need to go to a doctor to make sure what it is and what you should do.
Go to the doctor. That's odd.
it could be contact dermatitis..an allergic reaction to something that you came in contact with..it could be psoriasis..ringworm maybe..it's heard to tell without actually seeing it..try some bynadryl cream and maybe the antihistamine and if it doesn't help call a doc. Think first if you have used some new cream or cologne or soap because he'll ask you that.
Visit a doctor, also try applying Librium lotion on it 3 to 4 times a day. It could be an untreated rash that is spreading. A doctors visit is your best bet.

Also, you may be allergic to something your eating or using a soap that is causing this problem. It could be just about anything. Try to remember if you made any changes prior to this occurring.
