What do you do with pimples that you keep popping but keep coming back?

I have had the same pimple on my jawline in the same place for 1 year. it comes back everyday. its very wide and red. it doesn't stick off my face much. it's sorta more wide and flat, but you can tell it is a bump. it never comes to a head unless i put heat on it. I wash my face every day way neautrogena foaming face wash, pat my face dry, apply face moisturizer, and make sure to not touch my face with my hands. sometimes the same thing occurs around my face. could this be a something other than a pimple.

It could be a boil casued by a staph infection. If thats the case the only way to get rid of it completely is to take a course of antibiotics and allow it to drain fully. (Boils usually have a hard core that needs to be removed before healing can begin and you may have to have it lanced by a Dr.) I just went through this ~ I had a mole on my back that my bra strap rubbed against and caused it to get infected. It could also be a sebatous cyst or an infected hair folicle. Might not hurt to see your pcp or a dermatologist about it, especially since it's been bothering you for such a long period of time.
