Reasonable question given the profound occurrence of cancers now a days! This may be one of many things that may contribute to cancer as well as eating processed food, using mobile phones, living near HV power lines, or living in your house which exposes you to electromagnetic radiation from the electrical wiring. The thing is, there is no conclusive evidence that any of these things can cause cancer. However, as the microwave causes water molecules to vibrate, and therefore heat up the food, it is best to let food stand usually for a similar amount of time that it has been cooked for the molecules to stop vibrating, before consumption. Again this may or may not have an adverse effect. One thing for sure is that if the microwave you are using has poor screening the radio wave may radiate and have an adverse effect, as with any radio waves. Therefore it is a good idea not to stand too close or in front of a microwave whilst cooking, in case its screening has become ineffective over the years. Not sure if this answers your question effectively and maybe in 50 or so years it may be determined that some of the above mentioned potential sources of cancer may be confirmed, the most likely one being the use of mobile phone and HV powerlines which are believed to cause some forms of leukaemia. Anyway that's my opinion, as a Telecommunications Engineer, for what it's worth.

The health care fiels has determined it's not the microwaved food that causes cancer but the containers you use to heat your food. Always use clean glass dishes as the plastic ones release a chemical into your food everytime you use them.
Even tho the microwave uses radiation...the "micro" waves are small and so is its energy.unlike Ultraviolet waves witch are big and lots of energy

I stopped using my microwave cause I got a headache and several other stuff. If it came from the oven.. I don't know. Yeah, maybe I heated my food in the wrong containers.
