If a tumor is found in your esophagus, will it always be cancerous?

no it can be benign but it needs to be tested to decide if it is or not.
however most cancerous tumors can be removed and treated if caught early enough

I'm not a doctor but it's my understanding that tumors can either be benign and not deadly or can be cancerous (malignant)
