My dad had a mri and a cat scan that showed a spot by his adrenal gland they took a biopsy which came up neg,?

if the biopsy is negative but the cat and mri show a spot mwhat does this mean? he just tooka pet scan we go on monday for the news.the dr was saying that she may order chemo. but hey wait wouldnt the biopsy be more aqurite?what does everyone thing ? is this bad??

well a biopsy is basically taking a piece of that spot and examining it. This should be more than conclusive of what it is e.g. if its cancerous etc. But i'm not a doctor so i believe the doctor's view should be considered more than mine.
