Question:
so, i had an external abscess and it was cut and drained and all that. ( 2-week checkup after cut/drain/shot/medicine ) and the doctor said it looked 'non-dangerous' and would have a scar, but in fact it looks more like a lil softy pimple w/ ( a hard bally feeling underneath the skin ), it varies in size but is nonetheless there, and still leaks .... mostly white stuff and pus i imagine, is this a fistula formation. or just funky *** scar tissue. well, can i get surgery to get it cut out or cut off or wtv, cuz it is annoying. still, as well as asthetically and mentally unpleasant. sigh....

I suspect that if you don't get it completely cut out that it will continue to drain and possibly flare up again. The scar that will be left from removing it will be less unsightly but none the less a scar. After about 6 months you probably won't notice it much at all, perhaps a thin line.
