If a person is diagnosed with Syphilis should he be treated with antibiotics to remedy his neural symptoms?

Question:
Need to know this for my bonus points in my Microbiology class. Oh, and if he should or shouldn't take antibiotics why or why not?

Answers:
By the time the neural symptoms take hold it is too late to get treatment. It will be ineffective.
You may be talking about Tertiary Syphilis. Look that up on the web and it may answer your question. Don't want to do all the work for you.
At any time Syphilis is diagnosed, it is treated by antibiotics. It is treated to check further progress of the disease and also to revert the disease process. Though chances are less , there is a possibility of improvement.
