What the longest it can take on hiv test . I been tested all the one year from raped, all negative?

Question:
I was blood donor and had to stop cause raped. so the longest is one year ? do I need to keep on testing for raped

Answers:
I believe that you can detect HIV after 6 months of exposure. I am sorry to hear about what happened to you and I hope you find strength to deal with it. If you want to be sure then you can keep doing it every year. If you don't do it every year you will still worry about it. Do what is right for you.
I really feel sorry for you. It is terrible when anyone gets raped. It must be especially emotionally damaging when a man gets raped. Were you in prison by any chance?
I think the standard waiting time after an event that would cause worry is 6 months so if you have tested negative 1 year after the event you should be ok. You can always ask the blood donor folks though. They may have tougher standards.
yes, get tested at least once a year for ten years... i have.. it helps my sanity.. why? the first person i was intamate with i find out after the fact was an iv drug user... i am not... again, your own sanity and safety, especially for peace of mind when you meet someone new...
