On Lupron-Depot for Endometriosis, looking for others experiences with the disease and medication?
Question:
I've been on it for 4 1/2 months with the "normal" side effects. I just want others opinions and feelings and to vent. :)
Answers:
I am so tired of medications and treatments for this disease. I have had it four years. I have had two laprosopies, depo provera injection once a month for six months (twice) and Zoladex injections once a month for six months. My body is so messed up now (period out of sync, emotional all the time) as I am getting off the zoladex. Please remember to take your multivitamins AND a calcium supplement. You can lose so much bone density while being in medically induced menopause. Good luck and I hope you get more answers.
I have fought against taking lupron because it's side effects seemed pretty unpleasant. I was diagnosed by a lap. in 2005. Endo has completely changed my life: my diet, my ability to work and my plans for the future. I have tried many alternative therapies and gotten pretty positive results, although not a great as I had hoped.
I am going to see my gyn this week, because I have had to go to the ER twice in the last month due to uncontrolable pain and vomitting. I know he is going to raise the question of lupron but I still don't know if it will be best in the long run.
The best results for me have come from acupuncture, if it is any help. Also there is a new supplement called pycogenol that is supposed to have powerful anti-oxidants that can help control pain. Unfortunately it is really expensive.
