my mother had the surgery and her Dr kept her in the hospital until she felt comfortable leaving. He just said she was running a fever so the insurance would not say anything. Hopefully ur sis in law has a great Dr. Wish her luck and she is in my prayers as well as ur family
Well, this is an interesting question becasue their is actually a bill in congress now trying to get a mandatory 48 hour hospital stay following a mastectomy.currently some doctors are sending patients home within 12 hours following surgery and patients have had major complications resulting in additional surgeries.
