What are these bumps on my leg???

Question:
They itch and look like a bunch of bugbites but I REALLY doubt that they're from a mosquito or something. There are twelve of them, all close together on my shin. I'm pretty positive it isn't ecsma (sp?) because they're too big. Like I said, they look like bugbites. It's nowhere else but in that spot.

Answers:
it could be spider bites. i suggest you go to the chemist and show them the bite-marks and ask for an ointment or cream, a.s.a.p.
try not scratching it too much, because the itch will only spread.
Or it could be flea bites.
Have you visited anyone with a pet lately?
Use a cortisone cream.
Your question is pretty vaugue. It could be literally several things. There are so many mites out there (chiggers, body lice, kissing bugs) and insects (bedbugs, fleas - several kinds), that it could be anything. Your best bet is to try and find a specimen (the thing that bit you), so you'll know better what to do to treat it. Google "mites" and see the myriad of things that pop up -- it will scare you! In the meantime, I would recommend washing all your linen in 125 degrees of hot water for no less than 10min. If it is bedbugs, placing a ring of mineral oil or vaseline at the base of each of your bedposts will help too... If you want to go the extra mile and purchase something (such as a cream or ointment), look for the active ingredient "Pyrenthrins" in your local drug store. Good luck!
