What are the effects of falling pregnant while you are infected with Chlamydia gonorreah or if you have PID ??
Question:

I think it would be very difficult to fall pregnant if you had PID, I have never seen it...I expect it would be extremely painful for the mother and probably cause problems with the baby, depending on where the infection was. As far as other STD's, it depends on which STD you have. Some cause little or no problems to mother or baby, some cause problems before birth, some during birth...it all depends.
Chlamydia increases the risk of ectopic pregnancy, low birth weight and premature birth. An infected mother can pass chlamydia to her baby at birth. Between 50% and 75% of babies born to mothers with chlamydia get the infection. They may have it in the eyes, back of the throat, rectum, or vagina. Between 30% and 40% of babies infected with chlamydia at birth develop complications, such as conjunctivitis or pneumonia.
Untreated gonorrhea in pregnant women can cause miscarriage, premature birth, premature rupture of the membranes, and endometritis. Newborns of women with untreated gonorrhea may have the following complications: pinkeye (conjunctivitis), infection in the bloodstream (sepsis) and arthritis.
You would have the symptoms of whichever disease you caught. And more importantly.. they can cause all kinds of problems with the baby and even the pregnancy. You could miscarry, have developmental problems in the baby and if you deliver while having one of these, the baby will more than likely contract it. For ex, gonorrhea can cause blindness in a newborn and this is why all newborns are given the antibiotic drops or ointment in the eyes (to prevent blindness). PID is very painful, hard to treat and sometimes requires a lengthy hospital stay for IV's and antibiotics. And pregnancy too? Extensive treatment would be needed.
Get Medical attention soon!! Protect your baby.. and your health.....
if u dont get treated the baby can come out blind or can die after birth.
