I would say that you need to talk to your doctor and find out what type of medication you are on. If you are taking any type of steroids or other certain types of drugs which could be affecting your mood.
You are not describing any types of Lyme Disease Symptoms I have heard of, and two of my sisters had it, one very severely. Those are symptoms I usually associate with some type of mood disorder.
PLEASE...I am not saying that you have one, I am saying that the drugs could be cause a destabilization in your mood and from what you are describing a pretty significant one.
Many mood disorders are chemically based so if you are being given a chemical which is altering your other brain chemicals it could be causing this problem.
In any case talk to your doctor ASAP and let him know what is going on.please.
These symptoms that you describe are definately under the list of classic Lyme symptoms. You may also have a co-infection that goes with Lyme disease. Try looking up Babesia or Bartonella. These are common co-infections. Usually if you catch Lyme early and treat it the immune system will control these co-infections, but it sounds like you are not experiencing that. I strongly suggest you go see a Lyme Literate MD. You can go to the website for the International Lyme Disease Association and I believe they have referrals to these doctors. Do not mess around with this..it is very important to treat this now instead of later. Good Luck.
Lyme can cause all kinds of awful symptoms, including depression and other psychiatric issues. (author Amy Tan discusses her struggles with psychiatric Lyme on her website, www.amytan.net.)
It's important that you be seen by a doctor who understands how Lyme affects the brain. Your best bet is probably one who is affiliated with ILADS, the international Lyme and associated diseases society. Good luck to you.
I just read something in Yahoo anwers. Go to the question:
