You might google "Viral Blood Disease or blood disorders"
Good Luck
Since you asked so nicely, I'll look. Hold on, okay?
Sorry, I couldn't find anything.
I would suggest calling the Dr.s office that diagnosed the disease and asking them for the name of it. It's their job to give you the info if you need it.
theres Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (ttp).?
TB - tuberculosis? i have no idea, and no one else here does. go to the doctor. good luck :D
There is a chance that you may be instead referring to TTP, or Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, an acute manifestation of potential viral illnesses that involves destruction of several blood components, including platelets and red blood cells. This disorder is self-limited and many times idiopathic (meaning no obvious cause known). It is characterized by an intravascular hemolytic anemia due to overactivation of platelet aggregation in small vessels that basically "rips" the red blood cell's membranes apart, forming red blood cell remnants known as "schistocytes". Platelet number can decrease significantly (<20,000), leading to microvascular bleeding, manifesting as petechiae (small pinpoint mini-bruises). Other features of TTP also help distinguish it from another closely-related syndrome known as HUS, or Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. In TTP there is a greater neurologic manifestation, with confusion, irritability, etc. In contrast, HUS is characterized by a more significant acute renal failure. Both conditions require admission to the hospital for close monitoring and potentially plasmapheresis; they should be self limited. Survival from these conditions has improved significantly due to the excellent hospital care provided in modern days but this is still a potentially fatal condition.
go on the message board of this research group that is trying to find a cure for many disease...i find they answer back very fast.. they might know,,,http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/...
>>Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura - The idiopathic form of TTP was recently linked to the inhibition of the enzyme ADAMTS13 by antibodies, rendering TTP an autoimmune disease... antibodies are used by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign objects, such as bacteria and viruses
...you can know more about it in the internet or in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/thrombotic_...
>>Thrombocytopenia - can be caused be dengue fever (caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae) by direct infection of bone marrow megakaryocytes as well as immunological shortened platelet survival
