Is this strep throat?

My friend came over last night...Then in the middle of the night I had this TERRIBLE sore throat! Later today I found out that my friend had strep throat...Is it possible for me to be able to feel the symptoms of strep throat after one day?

No, it takes a few days to catch. Even if you drank or ate off of them, but if it is go to the doctor and they'll stick something in the back of your throat and see if you have it. And they'll run a test to make sure. If you do they'll prescribe an antibiotic that you'll have to take for 10 days. Good luck. I'm just getting over mine.

yes, strep throat is extremely contagious. my daughter had it-the next day grandma-then the next day I had it and 3 days later dad got it. no offense but the person above me is wrong-a cold takes a couple of days to catch because it goes through your system while strep can be transfer just by close range and immediately effect your throat-my daughters pediatrician told me about it
